Chester Microenterprise and the Philadelphia Development Partnership's Business Skills Course is a 7 week course designed to teach the fundamentals of running a small business.  The training is broad in nature and includes substantial grounding in computer tools, legal issues, accounting and graphic design. Classes start with an orientation meeting and then meet twice a week for the first 3 weeks followed by once a week for the remaining 7 weeks.

In addition to basic skills, the course includes:

• Securing start-up funds
• Learning from experts in your industry
• Networking with fellow entrepreneurs
• Working with business consultants

The 7 week class begins October 12, 2010 and runs every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Classes are held at the Microenterprise Center at

1350 Edgmont Avenue in Chester, PA.
