These three, 3-hour seminars are offered in a series over the course of six weeks (2 weeks apart). The objective of the series is to enable participants to develop an overall business plan.  Seminars may also be taken individually to gain the fundamentals of developing a business "Pitch" (Framing your Idea), a marketing plan (Strategic Marketing), or a financial projection (Financial Planning).

Introduction to Business Planning

Helps participants develop and test a “Business Pitch” for a new business or a new project within an existing business. Participants learn to organize and improve the essential elements of their ideas prior to creating full blown business plans.

Strategic Marketing

This seminar focuses on the marketing segment of a business plan. The seminar addresses: product definition, targeting, competitive analysis, marketing strategy and media outlets.

Financial Planning

This workshop focuses on the financial tools needed for good business decisions and successful business management. The course provides an understanding of basic financial statements and requires a basic working knowledge of Excel.

• Cost for the 3-part series is $50 (individual sessions are $20 each).
• All sessions are held at the Widener SBDC, 1350 Edgmont Avenue, Chester, PA
• Registration and Sign-In begins at 5:30 PM
• The seminar begins promptly at 6:00 PM and ends by 9:00 PM
